2013 Municipal Election

 2013 MUNICIPAL ELECTION

The City of Pine Lake will hold a municipal election on Tuesday, November 5, 2013 to fill three council positions currently held by Brian Carr, Cindy Diamond and Melanie Hammet.

Qualifications for office are as follows: (a) candidate shall have been a resident of the city for the period of twelve consecutive months prior to the date of the election; (b) must continue to reside in the city during said period of service and (c) shall be registered and qualified to vote in municipal elections in this city.

Candidates may announce at any time but must complete a Declaration of Intent to accept campaign contributions and register the Campaign Committee with the Georgia Government Transparency and Campaign Finance Committee (www.ethics.ga.gov) before accepting any contributions.

Qualifying for the election begins at 8:30 a.m. on Monday, August 26, and ends at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, August 30 in the Office of City Clerk in the Administration Building at 462 Clubhouse Drive. This is the official filing of Notice of Candidacy to have the candidates name placed on the ballot.  Qualifying fee is $18.00 (3% of annual salary).
