IN THE OFFICE OF CITY COUNCIL

NOVEMBER 8, 2011 SPECIAL ELECTION TO THE QUALIFIED VOTERS OF CITY OF PINE LAKE, WITHIN DEKALB COUNTY, GEORGIA:
YOU ARE HEREBY NOTIFIED that on the 8th day of November, a special election will be held in the CITY OF PINE LAKE to fill the vacancy in the office of City of Pine Lake City Council. The special election will be held to fill the unexpired term of Kathie deNobriga.
Each candidate will file notice of his or her candidacy and the appropriate affidavit in the office of DeKalb County Voter Registration and Elections, 4380 Memorial Drive, Decatur, GA 30032. Qualifying for candidates will begin on Monday, September 12, 2011, and continue until Wednesday, September, 14, 2011, between 8 AM and 4:00 PM each day. The qualifying fee is $18.00.
The last day to register to be eligible to vote in this special election is Tuesday, October 11, 2011.
The special election will be held in the regular polling place, City of Pine Lake Clubhouse, 300 Clubhouse Drive, Pine Lake, Georgia 30072, in conjunction with the General Municipal Election. The polls will open at 7:00 AM and close at 7:00 PM.

CITY OF PINE LAKE
NOTICE OF ELECTION AND QUALIFYING FEES

A municipal general election shall be conducted on November 8, 2011, for the purpose of electing a Mayor and Council Members for Post 1 and Post 2. Candidates who are elected in said election shall serve for a term of four years. Persons eligible to become candidates for said elections shall have been a resident of the city for the period of 12 continuous months immediately prior to the date of the election and be a qualified elector in the city.
Candidates for said election shall qualify with the City Clerk in City Hall. Qualifying shall open at 8:30 a.m. on the 29th day of August 2011, and shall close at 4:30 p.m. on the 2nd day of September, 2011. Voter Registration for said election shall close at 5:00 p.m. on the 11th day of October. Qualifying fee for office of Mayor shall be $108 and qualifying fee for Council Posts are $18.
